Hi There CraftyGirlz

This week starts knitting classes for some of my CraftyGirlz. We will be making scarves. Not just any scarf, but really cute, embellished scarves. When we are done with these, everyone will be asking you to make them one.

We will be using size 10 needles and we will be using the "knit" stitch. We will knit every stitch of every row. This is called "garter" stitch. When you are done you can add fringe and we will add some fabric and embroidery.

I will be keeping all of your projects each week as we knit them. It would be a great idea if you bought some supplies to knit at home, so that you can practice what you learn in class. If you need any help with your "at home" projects, just bring them in each week and I can help you with them. If you would like to buy supplies for home, I would suggest buying size 10 bamboo knitting needles. You can use yarn that has a number 4 or higher on the label. This just means the weight of the yarn, ie: thick or thin.....

You could also buy cotton yarn, sugar & cream. They carry fun colors at Michael's for $1.69. Just Cast On about 12 stitches and knit away. If you use the cotton yarn, I would suggest using smaller needles, around size 8. It is just a fun way to practice what you learn in class.

I look forward to a fun session. See you all soon.
